Why Become an Intern?

The internship program at Parker Hill is an awesome opportunity for college-age individuals to experience real-life ministry training in a fast paced, fun, multi-site ministry environment. This 9-week volunteer based program is designed for students who have a desire to develop themselves while learning church ministry. Our goals are not only to provide practical ministry experience, but to help you build Godly character, relevant skills, and lasting relationships to help you on your ministry journey.

Program Details

The Parker Hill internship program runs for nine weeks from June 10–August 9. It is a paid internship and offers 200-250 hours depending on area of focus. Hours can count as college credit for qualifying programs.

What to Expect

Your schedule will vary depending on your area of ministry. Most schedules will involve serving at all weekend services. You will work 25 hours per week, including two hours each week at Parker Hill U, our intern group development program.

Campus Leadership

Learn how to excel as a ministry leader and thrive in various leadership roles in single-site and multi-site ministries.

Student Ministry

Learn the ins and outs of successful student ministry by working elbow-to-elbow with our Student Pastors.

Music & Production

Learn how to work with volunteer musicians, assemble and lead teams, choose music, produce sound for worship, and much more.

Communications

Learn the important role that communications, marketing, branding, and the visual arts play in successful church ministry.

Kids Ministry

If you love young kids and want to help them as they begin their journey of faith, then the Kids Ministry Internship might be for you. Get your hands dirty working directly with kids on the weekends. During the week, you'll work with a great team planning curriculum, generating creative ideas, and preparing for future initiatives.
