What can we help you find?

Someday

We all have a “someday.” Someday I’ll buy the dream car, go on that vacation, retire, lose weight, read more, get smart with my money or shape up. But many people wake up one day and realize their someday never happened. Time flew by and they are no closer to their goals, dreams, or desires. The secret is that someday starts today. This series will help people start the year off with realistic expectations, eternal perspectives, and practical exercises to help them move toward the someday God has for them.

The Planting Principle

January 7, 2018 by Mark Stuenzi Message 1 of 3

We all know it but we tend to ignore it. It’s a law of life. We tend to focus on how it works against us. But if we will learn how to leverage it, we’ll get to enjoy the return on investment. The Planting Principle is simply this: your someday grows from what you plant today. Small investments made consistently over time really works because time multiplies decisions.

Is it possible to know where your life will end up? Maybe. Maybe not. But here’s what we do know: some paths definitely don’t lead where we want to go. In Proverbs 7, a wise man sees a young man outside his window walking a path that will lead to adultery and destruction. Is the path you're on going to lead you to where you really want to go?

Some part of our “someday” has a dollar amount attached to it. Without financial margin we are stopped short in life. We cannot fund our dreams, our family’s dreams, or God’s dreams. What we do with our money today determines what we get to do one day. The problem is, Americans are spending their way into debt. But if we cannot learn to say, “no” or “not yet” then we’ll never be able to fund the future we want.
