Read 1 Peter 1:17-22 (https://bit.ly/2JTN9N6)
You have believed in Jesus, that His death and resurrection mean you are forgiven and will have eternal life. Now what? Do we just go back to life as usual? There is no denying that as believers, we will still struggle with sin. But when the Holy Spirit lives inside us, we have the power to overcome that sin. How then, should we live? We live knowing this world is not our ultimate home; we won’t be home until we reach God’s presence. This faith and hope in God will change the way we live, very simply, by allowing us to sincerely love one another. Elsewhere in Scripture (1 Corinthians 13), it says, “Faith, hope, and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.” Faith will save me, and save you, individually. But loving each other will help others find their way back to God, and that will change their “everything”.
