Read Proverbs 18:1 (https://bit.ly/39TekUb)
There is a group of people who don’t often receive good advice. Not because they don’t need it. Not because there is no one to give it. This particular group of people doesn’t receive good advice because they display an attitude of aggression, animosity, and anger anytime someone tries to speak truth to them. This group of people makes it very hard and uncomfortable for others to give them advice. Eventually, they may find they have walked to the edge of a cliff and there is no one close to help them. This is the person discussed in our verse today. We all need help sometimes; we need to be the person willing to listen to good advice. The first step to success is to surround yourself with godly, loving people. The second step is to listen with humility and grace. Don’t try to do this life alone.
