Read Psalms 25:9

I love hearing sermons filled with history. The historical people, places, and events connect us to the messages from God. The Bible isn’t filled with made up thoughts or stories; it’s a book of testimonies from real people, sharing real stories. Sure, it’s old, but God didn’t create the universe last year! Jesus didn’t come last weekend! The Bible is meant to inspire. To give hope. To give us direction in following what God wants for us because He loves us. Without it, what do we have? The Bible has many versions, has been transcribed from language to language after teams of scholars have searched for the original meaning of each word. Its age doesn’t take away from the messages. They are real. They are true. The Bible is our hope and our guide in finding our way home to our Creator.
