Generosity produces thanksgiving. When we supply people’s needs, expressions of thanks and praise for God’s gifts naturally overflow. Practice generosity and watch thanksgiving multiply. A quarantine may prevent you from inviting someone in for the holiday, but gift cards for dinner can help you share a meal with a single parent, a struggling family, or a shut-in. Or arrange for a meal to be delivered from a local restaurant. A box of groceries or a frozen turkey would also bless a friend in need or a favorite charity. Excess desserts? Take a family car trip on Thanksgiving Day to gift sweet treats to the local police station or to the attendant at your favorite gas station. Follow Jesus’ example and serve the needs of others. Your generosity will produce an outpouring of thanksgiving and glory to God.
