Read Mark 1:35 (https://bit.ly/3bU4Jxy)
Ever notice how difficult it is to be alone? Your kids get up before you do. It’s finally quiet at night, but you fall asleep trying to read your Bible. Your cell phone, TV, iPad, you name it, is always within reach. We are used to constant noise and can feel empty without it. People clamored for Jesus’ attention, but He knew that solitude was important to help Him hear from His Father. If He didn’t hear from God, He could not minister to the people. He made getting alone a practice. Can we follow in His footsteps? It takes effort to say no to the demands of the day and grab that time to be alone. Yes, we need to hear God in church and Bible studies, but we also need to hear what God speaks to us personally. That happens best in solitude.
In cooperation with orders from the PA Department of Health, and out of a heart of concern and care for our community, masks are now required for everyone ages 2+ while inside Parker Hill Church buildings.
