There’s one topic that seems to make all ages blush and even feel shameful, especially in church. Sex. God doesn’t see it that way. He created man and woman to marry and become one. God didn’t solely envision procreation, though that alone is beautiful. Sex was also meant to be joyful. A cherished sharing of an intimate friendship between a husband and wife. Why is it then that even as adults, we tend to shy away from even having the birds and the bees conversation with our children? Maybe because it’s held at such a high value in the eyes of the Lord. Or, maybe it’s because we truly don’t understand what God intended when He granted us sexual desire. We are meant to enjoy this life He has given to us ever so graciously. So, do not be shameful for the desires we were created with, but remember, God always has the best planned for us.
