Read John 3:17-18 and Romans 10:9-11
Survivalists are busy stockpiling supplies, training in self-defense, building underground shelters. Their driving force – the need for protection in a world gone mad. A pandemic, riots, and political unrest have cultivated fear. If your basic fear is that you and your family may die, be assured: you will die. It’s a fact of living. It may be today or twenty years from now. Some of us will go quietly, some violently, but the end is certain, and then we will step into eternity—into heaven or hell. Where will it be? If you have accepted Christ’s forgiveness for sin, God’s Word says heaven is your final destination. But if you have rejected Christ’s saving grace, put it off, or thought you could gain your way to heaven with good works, you should be very afraid. This should be your WORST fear—facing our holy God without Christ’s forgiveness. Hell awaits. Deal with it … today.
John 3:17-18 NIV
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
Romans 10:9-11 NIV
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
