The past few months have been a whirlwind of anxiety and uncertainty. It’s easy to turn to ungodly pleasures or think only of ourselves. But through the grace of God, we get to love others and think of their needs above our own. One way to prevent our hearts from turning away from God is to “encourage one another daily”: by praying together; by instructing one another and reminding one another of the covenant of grace, and its promises; and by observing the near approach of everlasting happiness with Christ. This helps the other person, but also underscores in our own minds what Christ has done for us. Do you remember the day you first believed in the salvation of Christ? When we remember what Christ has done, we remember why – our sinfulness needs His grace. Don’t let your hearts be hardened; remember what Christ has done. And share this beautiful truth with those around you.
Hebrews 3:12-13 NIV
See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
In cooperation with orders from the PA Department of Health, and out of a heart of concern and care for our community, masks are now required for everyone ages 2+ while inside Parker Hill Church buildings.
