What can we help you find?

Insomnia

You know how it is. You toss and turn and watch the clock, but sleep just will not come. During this series, we’ll be talking about some of the things that keep us up at night, and what to do about them.

Why Is This World So Messed Up?

September 11, 2016 by Mark Stuenzi Message 1 of 5

Sometimes we look at this world and wonder if God is even watching. The writer of Psalm 73 looked around at a world where the wicked were prospering and the righteous were suffering. What he saw made him question whether God was even there. The turning point came when he began to look upward instead of looking around. When we look at life from an eternal perspective, we remember that the evil will perish, but eternal joy awaits the righteous.

Will My Kids Turn Out OK?

September 18, 2016 by Mark Stuenzi Message 2 of 5

Any loving parent will worry from time to time. We worry that our kids will make choices that bring them pain and create life-long consequences. Although there are no guarantees with kids, we can give them a spiritual compass that will help guide them into a path of blessing and peace. We can sleep at night knowing that our children are, ultimately, in the hands of their perfect Heavenly Father.

Does My Life Really Matter?

September 25, 2016 by Dan White Message 3 of 5

In a world of 6 billion people it’s easy to feel as if my ordinary life doesn’t matter. Does God really see me? Do I have anything to offer? Is it too late for me? The 139th Psalm of David is a beautiful picture of God’s presence and love.

Will I Ever Feel Forgiven?

October 2, 2016 by Mark Stuenzi Message 4 of 5

One of the biggest causes of insomnia is regret. Much like the main character in Edgar Allen Poe’s "The Tell-Tale Heart," our conscience can keep us awake night after night. Sometimes the person we’ve offended heaps more shame on our hearts by reminding us of our past. Ultimately, we need forgiveness from the only one who can really provide it – our perfect Heavenly Father.

Why Is This Happening to Me?

October 9, 2016 by Mark Stuenzi Message 5 of 5

Sometimes we can find ourselves in a pain so deep that tears won’t stop and words won’t come. In those times, it can feel as if God is nowhere to be found. Ultimately, we must make a choice of the will to worship our way through the “dark night of the soul.”
