What can we help you find?

You Asked For It!

Earlier this summer we asked you to submit questions about being a follower of Jesus. We wanted to know what was on your mind. Nothing was off limits. We received a wide range of questions, then selected the most popular and though-provoking topics you wanted us to answer.

If God is in Charge, Then Why...?

August 3, 2014 by Mark Stuenzi Message 1 of 4

One of the most common theological struggles is our attempt to reconcile God’s sovereignty with human responsibility. Why doesn’t God always answer prayer the way we desire? How does a Sovereign God get frustrated with his own decisions? Does God have an “appointed time” for all of us to die – if so, then do our decisions about health and safety even matter? Does God call us to salvation or do we choose him? Even during difficult circumstances we can trust that God is good.

Is it OK for a Christian to...?

August 10, 2014 by Mark Stuenzi Message 2 of 4

As we grapple with what it means to follow Christ, we can become confused what a Christian should “act like” or “look like.” Should a Christian get a tattoo? Should a Christian homeschool their kids? Can a Christian drink alcohol? As we struggle with developing personal standards, we should ask these three questions, ”What does the Bible say about this?” “What do Godly, wise people whom I trust have to say about this?” “What is the wise choice?” It is important for the believer to make every decision based on God's leadership, rather than our own passions and preferences.

Can I Lose My Salvation

August 17, 2014 by Jason Castelli Message 3 of 4

The question, "Can I lose my salvation?", is something that most believers struggle with at one point or another. Often times this question stems from our fear of measuring up or is birthed out of concern for those we love who don’t seem to be walking with God. We all want assurance of where we will spend eternity. When we understand that our salvation is not dependent upon our performance, but the person and work of Jesus Christ, we can live with confidence and gratitude for what God has done on our behalf.

Are We Living in the Last Days?

August 24, 2014 by Paul McGuinness Message 4 of 4

Even though we don’t know the details, we do know the general idea: Jesus is coming back to set things right. Jesus offers the invitation to be right with Him before He returns. He then challenges us to stop asking “Are we living in the end times?” and start asking, “Am I ready for the end times?”
