“There before the grace of God, go I”. This is one of my favorite sayings; I speak it aloud or think it frequently. As Christians, we know that everything we have comes from above. God has given us the talent, provision, and opportunity for each success. We have no right to feel responsible for any of our accomplishments. Why then do we continue to feel entitled and look down on those who are different? Aren’t all God’s precious children loved equally? This verse reminds us to remain humble in servitude to others. We are to be peacemakers and reach out in love to ALL. Jesus had the power to live a life of wealth, happiness, and acceptance. Yet He chose to serve others ahead of His own prominence. He ministered even to those whom society considered unworthy. Let’s follow Jesus’ example to seek harmony and serve one another.
Romans 12:16-18 NIV
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
In cooperation with orders from the PA Department of Health, and out of a heart of concern and care for our community, masks are now required for everyone ages 2+ while inside Parker Hill Church buildings.
