What can we help you find?

March 9, 2021

This is a tough one. Dating can be very much like a carnival. It’s exciting, it’s flashy, it’s new, but what is the cost? When enjoying the carnival you make decisions based on what you know to be true. You know that the games are rigged and winning is impossible, so you don’t count on winning. You know that the curiosities behind the curtains are fake, so you don’t listen to the barker. But when it comes to dating, we don’t want to be as strategic. It’s so much easier, and temporarily more fun, to just let yourself get swept away in an emotional tilt-a-whirl. But when that ride is over, you’re left feeling anywhere from nausea to bitter regret. Guarding your heart (protecting yourself) may not be the Hollywood version of dating, but it’s going to prevent a lot of pain and consequences. Stay on the fairway. Don’t let flash and glitter distract you off the path.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
