What can we help you find?

June 1, 2021

Romans 8:35-39 reminds us there is no condemnation for those in Christ. Nothing will ever be able to separate us from His love. Having believed the gospel, we now live in the Spirit of God. Does this mean we will never encounter pain and sadness, or that we can eliminate trouble in this life? No. Rather, we who are saved by faith in Christ conquer those terrible things because Christ has already won the most important victory for us! That victory cannot be taken from us. Nothing can overcome what God’s love has gained for us. We have His promise of eternal life and the presence of God every minute of every day. No sin and no attempt of the enemy can steal the love of God from our lives. We can approach the darkest valleys with confidence, knowing that nothing can happen to us that is not permitted by our loving Father for our good.

Bible Reading

Romans 8:35-39 NIV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
