All my life I have struggled with my weight. I have researched and gone through every program. And while I still retain the knowledge I learned, application remains a problem. No matter how hard I think about how to become healthier, results will not come until I put those thoughts into practice. The same is true for spirituality. Head knowledge doesn’t make you a Christian. When we’re only hearers of the word, we are deceived into thinking that learning God’s word by itself constitutes growth. This is an empty, dead faith – mere belief. This verse reminds us we need to move. God’s love for us was not just something He felt, it was something He showed. The cross is a picture of God’s love in action. God so loved the world that He gave! Real faith is demonstrated in real behavior. Following Jesus requires action. We grow through action!

In cooperation with orders from the PA Department of Health, and out of a heart of concern and care for our community, masks are now required for everyone ages 2+ while inside Parker Hill Church buildings.
