Read Revelation 21: 4 and Isaiah 25:6-8

Ever since Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden, the world has been filled with pain, unhappiness, and death. People die. People get sick. People suffer loneliness and anxiety and depression. God knows that we suffer, and there are many verses in the Bible that can give us comfort. But the greatest comfort is this: one day people won’t die, get sick, or suffer loneliness, anxiety, and depression. There will be no more war, no more disease. It boggles the mind; we can’t imagine such a place. Nevertheless, you can cling to the truth of it. More than that, you trust that whatever tears are on your cheeks when you arrive, God Himself will wipe them away, a loving Father taking His child in His arms, saying, “All that is over now. The old has gone. The new has come.”

Bible Reading

Revelation 21:4 NIV
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Isaiah 25:6-8 NIV
On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.
