“You of little faith…” Jesus was telling His disciples to have faith in who He is and what He has said. I have clung to that so many times when I needed comfort and promise. I have often found myself in such a state of anxiety. Worry about the past, the present, and the future. So much so, that I physically feel sick. My worry has absolutely no bearing on the outcome, it cannot change the past or predict the future. What I do have is faith. Faith in a God who loves me. Faith in His promises that all things are for my good. I have heard God whisper to me, “you of little faith”. Like He’s shaking his head saying how silly I am, yet always responding with compassion and love. God’s Word is always true. Reading God’s Word will allow you to hear Him when you need it so desperately over the messages of this world. Have faith.
Matthew 8:26 NIV
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
