Read Revelation 21:7 and Galatians 4:1-7

We live in a broken world, and all too often that means broken relationships. There are too many children in this world who are abandoned and unloved. There are also would-be parents who desperately want a child. When they find each other, a family is complete. Then that child has access to everything the family has, and their past is part of who they are but is no longer how they are defined. “Lost, abandoned, unloved” has become “beloved son or daughter.” We, too, were once in a spiritual state of “lost” but now we are children of God. You may be many decades past the age of adulthood, but it is never too late to turn to God, believe in Jesus Christ, and become part of God’s family. We will be His children. Beloved, cherished, and welcomed into a forever family.

Bible Reading

Revelation 21:7 NIV
Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

Galatians 4:1-7 NIV
What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “ Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
